WOW - Made it to Roanoke, VA - Day #4. The snow is amazing and actually quite humorous to us - and Tanner, well as you can imagine she is LOVING it.
Our first stop was Macon, GA. We hit some serious rain, stopped at a great salad joint on the road and started to speak with some leads in the car as we listened to the rain on the windsheild. We then took off just as the rain tappered off and headed to Nashiville, TN.
Our first night, had dinner with Celestina and her boyfriend Gary. Tanner was especially happy to see Cel again, and we were looking forward to the next day with her after a nights rest.

Our Day in Nashville was jammed packed. Celestina came in at about 11AM, we sat and chatted for a bit and did some computer "stuff"' - then started downtown on what was a cold and blustery day. The weather was calling for snow and we really just laughed aloud, though for two Floridians, not overly joyous with the low temps. We started off with some hot chili, stew and a burger for Cel at Rippy's, then spent some time in the all new Musicians Hall of Fame
http://www.musicianshalloffame.com/. Gilles is figuring out an old style muni meter - quite the puzzle. The museum was a blast, seeing so many phenomenal artifacts, 30,000 feet of it. Infamous, guitars, drums, clothing and even the doors that all the talent walked thru at several studios. We found out about the history and stories of many, Peter Frampton and how he started the talk box (this was Terry's first concert in 1972 with Dave Mason). How Elvis happened to choose his manager. We learned about Charlie Hayden and in fact decided to have the experience of seeing the Grand Ole Opry that night at the famous Ryman Auditorium - best acoustics second to Carnegie Hall, and original home of the Grand Ole Opry. It was an old church and between the benches and the stainglass windows there was no doubt that it had been a church. So we got to see Charlie Hayden play with his 3 girls (they are triplets) and little did we know one was married to Jack Black - what a hoot he was. We must thank Jami at The MHF for her fantastic suggestions in assisting to make an evening complete where we saw many other leading country Little Jimmy Dickens,

Marty Stuart, Ricky Skaggs, Bill Anderson, Connie Smith, the infamous String Dusters, Mike Snider, Hal Ketchum and his eight year old daughter, Jean Shepard, Dal McCoury and the Opry Square Dancers, completed by dinner at the world

famous Jack's renown for his Sauces and ribs.

Nine Hours - Whew - we will be back!
LOL
